POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrator carries out the policies and procedures of the Board of Directors and receives direction from the Executive Director regarding daily operations of Crandall Medical Center and Copeland Oaks Assisted Living.
Supervise the day to day operations of the nursing center and assisted living.
Responsible for direct management of nursing, activities, social services, and medical records departments of Crandall Medical Center.
Responsible for direct management of nursing and activities departments of Copeland Oaks Assisted Living and the Health Clinic.
Oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Improvements of the facility.
Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Corporate Compliance, Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and Privacy Policies.
Promote adherence to application legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Corporate Compliance, Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and Privacy Policies.
Participates in compliance and other required training programs including monthly in-services.
Ensures staff participates in orientation and training programs including but not limited to all required compliance courses, monthly in-services and relevant policies and procedures, and that such training is properly documented.
Follow established guidelines set forth by federal and state regulations related to Ohio Department of Health and LTC and Assisted Living facilities.
Complete necessary CEUs required for maintaining Nursing Home Administrator license.
Core competencies/Skill Sets:
Strong knowledge of nursing home and assisted living regulations.
Strong leadership skills to drive the facility mission and deliver resident centered care.
Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, vendors, and staff.
Ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation to meet departmental objectives, to develop/maintain good personnel relations and employee morale.
Ability to interface and effectively communicate with all levels of management throughout the organizations.
Ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive feedback.
Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required.
Sufficient computer skills required to perform duties.
Sufficient knowledge of medical terminology required to perform duties.
Professional Experience/Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years experience as an Administrator in health care. Long-term care or assisted living facility preferred.
Licensed Nursing Home Administrator of Ohio
